SUMMARY
This position is responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and supporting existing equipment and new equipment installations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work safely. Adhere to all company and regulatory EH&S policies and procedures. Look for safety issues and notify leadership of all safety concerns.
• Follow all lockout procedures, safety rules, OSHA requirements.
• Use computer system for work management, parts usage, equipment information and training.
• Conduct preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and repair all types of plant and production equipment (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, etc.)
• Repair equipment as necessary to maintain production.
• Maintain spare parts stock in orderly manner and reorder as required.
• Maintain records of repairs, preventative maintenance, and machining.
• Keep maintenance equipment and area in clean and orderly condition and adhere to all 6-S initiatives and policies.
• Assist in the training of other Maintenance personnel.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts, with appropriate notice.
• Work overtime or report in when called as required.
• Complete required course work with maintenance wage plan.
• Set up and perform machining as required.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Area Manager / Team Lead.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
o High school graduate, GED or equivalent
PREFERRED:
o Trade school completion
o 2-year Degree with mechanical and/or electrical focus
o Foundry or previous manufacturing work experience in a related occupation
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
• Read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Must have working knowledge of machining, machine repair, lift truck repair, overhead crane repair, precision maintenance, industrial electricity, industrial electronics and controls/PLCs, hydraulics, and combustion.
• Familiarity with common hand tools – how to use safely and appropriately
• General fabrication (welding, torch cutting, layout, fixturing and clamping).
• Familiarity with automation and robotics.

• Ability to identify unusual sights and sounds associated with equipment and process.
• Must be able to read work instructions.
• Critical thinking and problem solving.
• Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with other co-workers at all levels of the organization.

• Must be able to operate a powered industrial truck.
• Must have the ability to use computers, other electronic devices and data system(s); (cell phone, tablet, ERP, CMMS, Intranet, etc.)
• Work in a professional manner.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to:
• talk or hear
• stand or walk consistently for 8 hours
• use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms
• stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• lift and/or move up to 35 pounds
• wear respirator and other personal protective equipment required for the position.
• operate a variety of machinery and equipment
• work at heights > 3 feet
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to
• occasionally lift/move 50-75lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is routinely required to perform work in a foundry manufacturing setting, with exposure high noise level, dust and fumes, and extreme heat and molten metal.
