Summary

The primary function of the Maintenance Technician is to support production operations through maintaining equipment and facilities.

Essential Functions

• Troubleshoot and fix electrical issues in a manufacturing environment
• Eliminate problems through Root Cause Analysis
• Schedule and execute multi-tiered Preventative Maintenance program.
• Interacting with other departments to ensure the proper functioning of all systems in the facility.
• Comply with all safety and internal requirements set by OSHA and the Company.
• Troubleshoot and general repair of the building and facilities.
• A/C Inspections and maintenance.
• Preventative Maintenance on all production and maintenance machinery.
• Perform welding and machine fabrication
• Assist Maintenance Department with other duties and assignments as required.

Additional Responsibilities

• Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic industrial electrical experience.
• Minimum of two to five years applicable maintenance experience.

Special Skills

• Must have good mathematical aptitude, both in knowledge and practice.
• Must be capable of identifying technical problems and preventing and/or resolving issues rapidly.
• Requires project management skills, a logical approach to problem solving, analytical skills and a big-picture understanding with short term tactical focus.
• Ability to become forklift certified.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds as required.
• Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional peers as well as upper level management.
• The ability to weld with both Mig & Stick Electrodes a plus

• The ability to make independent judgments and utilize problem solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and detailed drawings/schematics.
• Ability for strong detail in following procedures and technical specifications.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime.
