Position Summary
Primary Function
Responsible for testing, maintaining, and servicing of the coolant systems in the fabricating area. Also responsible for completing work assignments from the MP2 Maintenance Management software.
Working Procedures
Works under general supervision.
Responsible for the following daily and/or weekly testing of coolant systems: Concentration – Titration
1. Know when, how to, and add coolant additives as follows:
(a) Micro-Biocide
(b) Fungicide
(c) EP Additives
(d) Bacteria Tablets
(e) Machine Cleaning Fluids
- Daily checking of all coolant tanks to maintain levels are full and for proper concentration.
- Service coolant as necessary in applicable machine problems, as well as changing coolant and cleaning machines when necessary.
- Assist process engineering with coolant-related machine problems.
- Responsible for necessary record keeping involved with coolants, solvents, waste disposal activity, bulk, and barrel deliveries as assigned.
- Vacuums machine floor pans of excessive oil and removes foreign material.
- Responsible for cleaning and filling of straight oil coolant systems as specified to their correct type and quantity required for each machine.
- Responsible for non-coolant related cleaning of machines (does not include use of foamer as part of water-soluble coolant change).
- Responsible for completing work assignments from MP2 Maintenance system for both repairs and TPM, as well as completing all documentation online.
- Responsible for delivery of drum or bulk products.
- Responsible for removal of waste solvents and oils from building and transferring them into proper containers and dumping chip hoppers.
- Notifies waste hauler when waste tanks need to be emptied and assisting haulers when necessary.
- Responsible for ordering coolants, soaps, and chemicals as necessary.
- Responsible for discharge of wastewater to the sanitary sewer and record log associated with this process.
- May assist in sampling processes needed for waste and water monitoring for EHS Department.
- Must be certified forklift driver and responsible for OSHA required monitoring of any powered industrial vehicles.
- Monitors and maintains hazardous waste storage area.

Qualifications
3-5 years of machine maintenance experience is preferred. A high school diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
