Job Title:
Aviation Maintenance Administrative/Data Specialist
Task Description:
Aircraft Logs and Records Technician, GS-301-07: Maintains aircraft and engine logbooks and associated records. Proficient performing all operator, data entry and retrieval functions associated with aircraft recordkeeping. Performs networking functions between individual stations, including analysis and correction of errors caused by software, hardware, or data entry. Transmits and receives data via floppy disk, modem, and other electronic means. Extracts data, formulates and interprets management reports, creates archives, backups, and data saves in support of military deployments and detachment operations. Performs a wide range of clerical and administrative duties related to aircraft maintenance, such as preparing reports and correspondence, filing, and typing, performing data base and systems analysis.
Skill and Knowledge:
- Must be knowledgeable of technical directives, NAMP programs, and shall be knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.
- Aircraft Logs and Records Technician shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy and exhibit effective leadership qualities and ensure adherence to all applicable policies and procedures.
- Possess a high degree of expertise in the control and coordination of aircraft maintenance.
- Thorough working knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals and publications.
- Thorough working knowledge of aircraft maintenance records.
- Working understanding of the aircraft and aircraft systems
TASK REQUIREMENTS:
- Performs Maintenance Data Base System Administrator / Analyst services
- Maintains Aircraft Logbooks
- Maintains Technical Directive Program
- Issues MAFs
- Maintains rough Flight Log (Tracks aircraft and engine times, hours flown and inspection due dates)
- Distributes Daily Status Reports
- Issues scheduled inspection and High Time Component MAFs
- Screens completed MAFs for accuracy and makes required entries
- Tracks oil analysis records
- Develops and distributes Monthly Maintenance Plan
- Maintains Central Technical Publications Library
- Perform general housekeeping and organization of workstation(s), shop(s), maintenance facility to provide a clean, safe, and FOD free environment
- Perform shift work and/or overtime as required
- Perform other tasks as directed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ten years extensive knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- AZ “A” school or equivalent
- Eight years’ OOMA/NALCOMIS experience in aviation logs, records, and maintenance administration
- Must be knowledgeable in all phases of NAMP and related aircraft maintenance reporting
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must be able to work 1st, 2nd, 3rd and weekend shift schedule as required.
- Must be able work flexible work-week schedules i.e. Mon-Fri, Sun-Thur, Fri-Mon or as required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must satisfactorily complete the equivalent of a trustworthy National Agency Check plus Written Inquiries with Credit Check (NACI), IAW DTM-08-003 “Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance”.
- Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft.
- Must be able to use hand and power tools.
- Must have dexterity to handle small parts.
- Must be able to deploy to support off station exercises and perform other support duties as assigned.
Compensation
$35.70/hour
Other Compensation
Employees will receive a minimum health and welfare fringe benefit of $2.65 for every hour paid up to 40 hours per week.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
