The aircraft electrical worker performs nonsupervisory work involved in maintaining aircraft electrical power systems, environmental control systems and equipment. Tasks include, but not limited to:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft electrical systems
- Inspecting, troubleshoot, repairing, and maintaining generators, wiring harnesses, circuit breakers, and lighting systems.
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining aircraft electrical equipment and components that have been removed from aircraft.
- Responsible for completion and accuracy of aircraft/equipment forms documentation and MIS input.
- Ensure compliance with technical publications and directives.
- Completes maintenance forms as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four (4) years of maintenance experience on like assigned aircraft, engine, avionics systems, Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) (DD 214 or employment record).
- Skilled on test equipment required by job assignment.
- Have an FAA Airframe, or Powerplant, or Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification.
- Must be able to perform the physical requirements as stipulated in Appendix E of the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the position.
