Duties and Responsibilities:
- Visually inspects and tests aircraft equipment.
- Troubleshoots, detects malfunctions, communicates information to other maintenance personnel as needed to diagnose and/or repair system malfunctions.
- Communicates regularly with Director of Maintenance, indicating aircraft status and condition.
- Provides maintenance coverage at the Line Stations or traveling with the aircraft as a “Flight Mechanic”.
- Ensures Flight Log Pages are e-faxed after each departure.
- Repairs and maintains aircraft structure. On time departure of aircraft while maintaining safety in work area.
- Participates in the RII (Routine Inspection Items) Program.
- Conducts briefings with the inbound Flight Deck Crew ensuring a clear understanding of all maintenance write-ups that are to be addressed at the turnaround or layover.
- Conducts maintenance post/ preflight inspections (walk around) to ensure problems or malfunctions are found prior to Flight Crew arrival.
- Performance of interior cabin inspection.
- Repairs and maintains interior cabin systems and components as required.
- Follows maintenance reference to ensure airworthy of aircraft.
- Communicates with outside sources at a variety of stations for servicing, equipment and assistance.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
