We are seeking two dedicated warehouse associates to join an aviation catering operation. The primary focus of this role is the safe handling and processing of catering commissary and equipment. Key tasks include receiving, shipping, processing inventory, binning, and performing cycle counts. Additionally, associates will engage in general housekeeping, cleaning, organizing, and maintaining the warehouse facilities and equipment. The ability to operate a standard sit-down forklift to move products is required.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, bin, ship, and issue supplies and equipment.
  • Pre-plan commissary and catering supplies based on aircraft rotations.
  • Conduct inventory checks at catering vendor sites and on aircraft.
  • Verify that accurate and operable catering equipment is on each flight.
  • Ensure proper inventory is prepared and delivered to downline caterers.
  • Communicate any inventory or planning deficiencies, tracking and monitoring performance.
  • Identify and requisition needed catering equipment repairs.
  • Create repair orders for unserviceable parts as directed by the Repairs Department or supervisor.
  • Execute monthly and weekly tasks such as Calibration & Shelf-Life review, and Cycle/Inventory counts.
  • Utilize computer systems to maintain and update inventory in a timely manner.
  • Monitor shipping and station supplies; advise of shortages and requirements.
  • Coordinate with the HQ Catering Department to assist operations.
  • Maintain and coordinate inventory with all downline stations.
  • Perform daily warehouse housekeeping, cleaning, sweeping, and organizing of parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Operate forklifts to move materials in the warehouses.
  • Audit outbound meals to ensure departures’ catering matches approved orders.
  • Audit inbound meals to analyze meal and beverage leftovers.
  • Keep management informed of any operational issues that may affect operational performance.
  • Ensure customers, vendors, and employees adhere to current operating requirements.
  • Monitor ramp activities and performance for safe and timely aircraft catering/commissary handling.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years’ warehouse or inventory experience.
  • 2+ years experience operating a forklift.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with inventory management.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting/pulling.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous airline experience preferred.
  • Previous cycle counting and inventory reconciling experience preferred.
  • Ability to attend/pass required trainings for recurrent, refreshment, or (re)certification revalidation.
  • Ability to acquire all identification badges required for the position and manage expiration and renewal.

Work Environment

The position is based at a warehouse near IAH airport. This is a temporary role guaranteed until the end of May, with potential extension. Work hours are 9am – 5pm, either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, depending on the workload. The dress code requires steel toe shoes and black or dark blue clothing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
