Material Control Coordinator - " W-TRS Fort Irwin, California N.T.C.

Fort Irwin, California This is a CBA Role : Effective rate of pay between July 1 2024 and July 1 2025 will be $40.74/hour

Job Summary:

Grid personnels primary responsibility is to build the “Battle Roster” for BLUFOR and OPFOR training personnel, by assuring that every Rotational Training Unit (RTU), Augmentee vehicles and aircraft are inputted unto the Instrumentation System (IS) dubbed as “Player.” This task is accomplished through coordination with various Government personnel (916th, BrigadeS4, Company S4s, Unit XOs), the upcoming Rotational Unit Brigade Representative and local team members from the “IS” section.

• 120 Days before RSOI1: Grid Team Will reach out to the RTU
• 90 days before RSOI 1: unit will complete and submit their 4 tabs (Vehicles being brought from home station and Vehicle that will need to be drawn from home station)
• 30 days before RSOI1: Miles MGR will meet with the RTUs advance party to go over battle roster. Miles MGR will also meet with RTU Rep to ensure they have the right amount of Solider detail help and given information to brief the Brigade.
• Once the Battle roster has been confirmed, the Miles Manager will submit it to the IS staff. The IS Staff will then input it into the system.

Job Description:
Main Job Function
• Working with the RTU and OPFOR to build the battle roster.
• Provide Installation and De-installation progress to Management.
• Work with RTU on organization for MILES Installation, this includes scheduling classes for RTU with MILEs FIT team. Organizing with MILES installation and De-installation for priority units. Instructing RTUs MILEs team on all the procedures and best practices.
• MILEs team will oversee the generation of reports for the RTU by bumper number of installation status on a daily from D-12 to RSOI 5.
• Miles team will maintain the Rotation Utilization report, and NTC Contact team report.
• Daily review of NTC-IS trouble report, and status of corrections that were made.

Surge Job Function
• General work requirements are in warehouse environment coordinating/executing/tracking/reporting orders as necessary
• Provide support by supporting multiple end-user locations
• Oversees the receipt of materials, verifying quantities, and entering data into inventory management systems.
• Allocates and organizes storage space efficiently to maximize the use of the warehouse.
• Determines the appropriate locations for materials based on their size, frequency of use, and compatibility with other items.
• Verify storage facilities comply with safety regulations and any specific storage requirements for certain materials, such as hazardous substances.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment and ensuring materials are stored in a manner that prevents damage or deterioration.
• Picks materials/kits from storage areas to fulfill orders.
• Responsible and Accountable to ensure mission essential items are ordered, stored, tracked, and distributed in support of multiple US Army training organizations, providing business reporting, tracking, and coordination to company management and with supported US Army Training organizations.
• Failure to provide efficient and timely support, accurate reporting, and comprehensive coordination/communication could result in negative impact US Army Training Schedules and capability of customer to meet critical mission requirements.
• Discretion and Judgement required to provide hub support for multiple end-users, to effectively prioritize resources and implement efficiencies to meet critical mission requirements.

Education/Experience:
• (2 +BA/BS or 1+MA/MS) or (4 +AA) or (6+No Degree).
• High level of excel, power point and office 365.

Certifications :
• None

Required Experience:
• coordinator logistical tasks in a variety of fields including events, administration, scheduling and assisting in bringing WTRS staff, RTU representees, Contractors and government personnel together.
• Coordinators need strong communication skills, leadership, problem-solving abilities, time management skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Creating and exporting data with information regarding each event.
• Inspecting public areas before and after events.

Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of Maximo Database Systems highly desired
• Global Combat Support system-Army Certification
• HAZMAT Certification
• Working knowledge of Army Enterprise System Integration Program (AESIP)
• Experience with navigating FEDLOG
• Experience with Electronic Turn In Documents database (ETID)
