The Flight Catering Agent is a full-time position based at the Miami International Airport. The Flight Catering Agent plays a key role in coordinating and supporting the Flight Operations team to ensure a smooth, efficient, and professional operation. Reporting to the Flight Operations Duty Manager, this position is responsible for maintaining stock and inventory of inflight supplies, receiving and organizing supply orders, notifying management when supplies are low, restocking aircraft daily with necessary items, and arranging the pickup and delivery of crew meals for all flights.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain stock and inventory of inflight supplies: Ensure that all inflight supplies, including food, beverages, and other service items, are consistently available and properly stored. Regularly check stock levels to maintain optimal inventory for daily operations.
- Receive and organize all supplies orders upon scheduled delivery: Accept and inspect incoming deliveries, ensuring that all supplies are correctly accounted for, undamaged, and stored according to company guidelines. Organize inventory in an orderly and efficient manner for easy access.
- Inform management when stock and supplies are running low for replenishment: Monitor inventory levels and notify management promptly when supplies are running low or nearing expiration, ensuring that restocking occurs in a timely manner to avoid shortages.
- Restock aircraft with supplies for onboard service daily: Daily preparation and replenishment of all required inflight supplies, ensuring each aircraft is fully stocked with the necessary items for the comfort and service of passengers and crew.
- Arrange, pick up, and deliver crew meals for all flights: Coordinate the timely pickup and delivery of meals for airline crew members, ensuring that meals are available and delivered to the appropriate gates or aircraft for both domestic and international flights.
- Other duties as assigned: Perform any additional tasks or responsibilities as required by management to support the smooth and efficient operation of the catering service, including assisting with special requests or unexpected needs.
- Qualification Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Must successfully pass all pre-employment testing, including drug screening and a physical examination.
- Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Must be flexible and available to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and work in physically demanding and uncomfortable conditions.
- Proven reliability and a positive, professional attitude.
- Uniform is required for the position.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
