Total Aviation Staffing is hiring a Material Handler for our client, a leading aerospace and defense company supporting mission-critical aviation logistics and warehouse operations.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented warehouse, logistics, or inventory professional with experience handling parts, managing inventory, operating forklifts, and supporting high-tempo distribution operations. You will help support depot-level C-130J spares distribution operations , ensuring aircraft parts are received, stored, counted, and shipped accurately to support global aviation operations.

What You’ll Do As a Material Handler , you will support warehouse, inventory, receiving, shipping, and parts distribution activities for aviation-related operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform warehouse and inventory management activities in support of aviation logistics operations.
- Receive, inspect, process, and ship aircraft parts and materials.
- Conduct physical inventories and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Support inventory control, stockroom organization, and warehouse process compliance.
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Pick, pack, move, stage, and track aircraft parts and related materials.
- Maintain accurate records for receiving, shipping, and inventory transactions.
- Communicate clearly with peers, customers, supervisors, and management.
- Work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy, urgency, and accountability.
- Follow all applicable safety, warehouse, and operational procedures.
What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a high-demand warehouse environment. You should be able to stay focused, follow processes, communicate well, and keep inventory moving without needing someone over your shoulder every five minutes — the warehouse version of “built different.”
Required Qualifications - Minimum of 3 years of combined experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse operations, inventory management, or related work.
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift operator experience .
- Experience with receiving, shipping, physical inventory, and inventory control.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tempo warehouse or logistics environment.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, military logistics, or aircraft parts distribution.
- Experience supporting aircraft spares, depot-level operations, or component distribution.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems, ERP systems, or inventory tracking software.
- Experience handling high-value, regulated, or mission-critical parts and materials.
- Prior experience supporting C-130, military aircraft, or aviation sustainment programs.
