Capital Procurement Strategic Buyer executes on relevant Capital Procurement strategies, measures and activities in close cooperation with the location stakeholders.
The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend of the respective plant, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances and ensuring highest efficiency and effectiveness of the BU Plant Procurement team.
He/she ensures the optimal collaboration of Plant Procurement with Global Category Management t to achieve best procurement results.
Main tasks:
Executes on capital cost avoidance initiatives and initiates counter measures if necessary
Performance areas: Capital Cost Avoidance (CCA) Supplier performance, challenging of material & service specifications (demand management)
Communicates Supplier issues to relevant Business Unit Stakeholders including Plant Lead and Category Management
Participates in supplier meetings jointly with respective Capital Manager, and/or Plant Engineers and/or Procurement Lead
Manages the spend within his/her responsibility to achieve best cost position.
Defines and implements capital pipeline and procurement strategy for locations directed by Capital Procurement Director,
Executes supplier price negotiations, concludes contracts
Administrates contracts related to his/her work area
Prepares reports related to the use of capital pipeline
Actively participates in the development of leverage opportunities
Continuous monitoring of ISO and SOX compliance, preparation of tests and reports.
The employee must highly obey the labour safety and EHS rules.
Supporting the local Procurement team at Köfém and getting involved in some indirect procurement activities.
Place capital purchase orders for North American operations, as required.
Accountable for the execution of each and every task that is assigns to him/her by his/her supervisor, originates from the necessity of the work of the job holder’s organizational unit and does not conflict with ruling legal or company rules and regulations.
Basic requirement:
At least College Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics or Engineering
3 years previous work experience in procurement
Proficiency in Hungarian is a must.
Good level of English is a must.
Strong MS Office usage (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
