Job Summary
The Interior Installer role prepares and installs interior parts of the aircraft. Trimming interior parts to the installed shape and build up interior sub-assemblies for installation. Inspects and tests assembled parts and equipment to ensure fit, clearance, alignment, and functional performance comply with engineering drawings and specifications.
$2K Sign-on eligible until further notice.
Schedule: This is a first shift position M-Th; 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Overtime as required
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Positions, aligns, fits, and assembles parts or sub-assemblies on to aircraft.
- Ability to use and recognize the necessary tools needed to perform the necessary installation of the required hardware.
- Able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blue prints, production illustrations and other specifications to determine the identity, location and relationship of aircraft parts.
- Must be able to fill out work instructions properly, able to understand the planning flow and be able to adjust and explain the planning procedures.
- Must be able to understand all process specifications and pertinent reference information.
- Must be proficient in completing forms necessary to generate work and changes to work orders, pick lists, drawings, and other related documents.
- Attention to detail required. Must be able to work as part of a team. Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety). Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions. Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties. May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.

Qualifications

- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-12 months experience in a manufacturing environment
- No specific certificates, licenses, or registrations required
- Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
