Technical Services Engineer – Aerosystems
Immediate superior – Lead Technical Services Engineer
Qualification
I. Minimum of Bachelor degree in Engineering disciplines from
recognized institutions or;
ii. Minimum of Bachelor degree in any disciplines from recognized
institutions with working experience in aircraft engineering with an
airline or MRO for more than five years.
Main responsibilities
Provide technical support for interior and mechanical system issues under ATA
chapter 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32, 35, 36, 38, 47, 52 and 56.
Specific functions
a. Provide effective and efficient technical support to aircraft operations for
owner/operator.
b. Prepare and raise required technical documents in accordance with
approved procedures, regulatory and owner/operator requirements.
c. Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers, aviation authority, owner/operator or
any reliable sources to facilitate analysis of engineering issues.
d. Evaluate continuing airworthiness data and provide a sentencing
recommendation to the EO Review Committee for approval.
e. Perform research on product improvement and defect mitigation.
f. Ensure all technical documents issued meet the requirements of the
department’s approval system.
g. Assist Reliability Section in conducting root cause analysis and provide
remedies for excessive and abnormal wear, malfunctions or premature
removals.
h. Undertake development study to improve aircraft dispatch reliability and
provide recommendation to EO Review Committee and/or Maintenance
Review Board as necessary.
i. Ensure sufficient skills are acquired and inform superior of required training
to improve competency.
j. Responsible to undertake the necessary corrective and preventive action
resulting from compliance monitoring and audit program findings.
k. Any other relevant duty as assigned by the superior.
