PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in partnership with a leading aerospace organization supporting the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation (SOA) programs. Your work will directly impact cockpit avionics systems for MH-60M and MH-47G aircraft—platforms essential to national security and mission success.
Role SummaryAs a Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in designing, defining requirements for, and validating advanced avionics within the Common Avionics Architecture System (CAAS). You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform hands-on testing in a lab environment, and ensure that integrated systems meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities)Perform design, requirements development, validation, and verification for MH-60M and MH-47G cockpit avionics.
Execute requirements-based, robustness, and ad-hoc testing in a lab environment for Platform Systems—requiring flexibility during formal test phases.
Collaborate with external customer stakeholders and internal engineering teams (software, hardware, systems) across multiple CAAS builds.
Use engineering tools such as TNT, DOORS, JIRA, PREP, Microsoft tools, SVN, and more to manage tasks and documentation.
Investigate and troubleshoot lab hardware, system environments, and interface integrations between Collins Aerospace equipment and government-furnished equipment.
Required QualificationsRelevant Systems Engineering experience.
Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
Working knowledge of data buses and communication protocols, including Ethernet, MIL-STD-1553B, and ARINC-429.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred QualificationsPrior military avionics experience.
Familiarity with engineering and test tools such as TNT, DOORS, PREP, JIRA, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Details: $61.87 per hour
