We are hiring an Integration & Test Engineer in Scottsdale, AZ, to support advanced hardware, firmware, and software integration and validation activities for mission-critical defense and communications systems. This role requires experience with Python automation, verification & validation (V&V), RF test equipment, hardware/software integration, automated test environments, Agile development, and diagnostic software development supporting rapid-prototype aerospace and defense technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Generate system test work products in accordance with established standards, processes, and engineering procedures
- Develop test and diagnostic software, including Python 3.9+ automated test scripts aligned with GDMS coding standards
- Design and execute functional, environmental, operational, and performance testing for hardware, firmware, and software systems
- Design and implement test fixtures, instrumentation setups, and automated test environments for new product validation
- Develop cost-effective test strategies for troubleshooting and validating systems throughout the full product lifecycle
- Create comprehensive test plans, procedures, and verification documentation
- Implement robust Verification & Validation (V&V) methodologies to ensure system quality and compliance
- Support hardware, firmware, and software integration activities across cross-functional engineering teams
- Establish integration procedures and workflows to ensure reliable component interaction and system stability
- Participate in Agile development environments supporting rapid prototyping and iterative development
- Maintain accurate records of test activities, results, defect tracking, and validation outcomes
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related STEM field
- 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Knowledge of test engineering concepts, system verification, and validation methodologies
- Experience with object-oriented programming and scripting languages, particularly Python (3.9+)
- Experience integrating hardware, firmware, and software systems
- Experience using RF or communications test equipment, such as:
- Signal analyzers
- Signal generators
- USRP (Universal Software Radio Peripheral)
- Experience designing automated test frameworks and diagnostic tools
