Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for an Integration & Test Engineer based out of either Manhattan Beach, CA or Hollywood, MD. Our Team works on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems.
Other roles, responsibilities, and abilities:
Work within a Cross-Functional scrum to develop high-priority mission planning features.
Maintain and improve the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug safe delivery of critical business software to production.
Develop software test products such as Verification Cross Reference Matrices to tie software requirements to software tests, Software Test Plans, Software Test Procedures, and Software Test Reports.
Define and develop test approaches for new software and system capabilities.
Compile data and define changes required in testing procedures or new testing requirements.
Install, test, and verify software products.
Perform frequent Smoke Testing and frequent Acceptance Testing on SW builds.
Resolve technical issues within a scrum, across scrums, and with the support of other functional roles.
Interface on a technical level with the customer
Help define automated test strategies.
Be pro-active and self-motivated; ask not only “what”, but also “how” and “why.”
All work must be performed on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Basic Qualifications:
Engineer Test:
2 Years’ experience in Systems Engineering or SW development lifecycle with Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, 0 years of experience with Masters; Additional years of experience and a High School diploma or GED may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Exposure to working in an Agile development environment
Experience with developing and executing software integration and regression tests
Experience with Microsoft Windows/Office technologies
Experience with a scripting language (e.g., yaml, PowerShell, Batch/CMD).
Experience with Python
Experience with Configuration Management (e.g.: Git, SVN)
Experience executing manual procedures or automated test scripts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
US Citizenship
Current DoD Secret Clearance with SAP access.
Preferred (Nice to Have) Qualifications:
Experience working with requirements in DOORS.
Experience with test automation suites such as Test Complete, Robot Framework, Selenium, or Eggplant.
Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies.
Strong interpersonal and analytic skills
Experience with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) Framework (FW)
Experience with Air Force mission planning
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Experience with current military Mission Planning Systems such as JMPS, AFMSS and/or PFPS
Experience using platforms and/or applications hosted in a cloud environment.
Exposure to one or more of the following: C, .NET Framework, Java, C++
Exposure to one or more of the following CI/CD Deployment Technologies: Ansible, Bamboo, OpenTofu, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker
Active Top Secret Clearance (adjudicated within the last 5 years)
Current SCI/SAP access
Salary Range: $81,300 - $121,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
