The opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a Senior Integrated Logistics Support Specialist/Engineer to support the delivery of the Battlefield Communications Systems (BCS) franchise.
Reporting to the BCS Product Support Development Manager, you will work within the Battlespace Communications Systems Enterprise to undertake the design, development and maintenance of Support System solutions for Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) programs.
Responsibilities
The Senior Integrated Logistics Support Specialist/Engineer provides subject matter expertise to BCS Integrated Logistics Support (Product Support) Team Leads, and Product Support team members for all aspects of the Support System from acquisition through to disposal. This role will significantly contribute Support System design and optimisation opportunities, and support BDAs demonstrated pedigree in designing, developing, and evolving complex sovereign communications systems.
- Assist in defining product support requirements and integration plans for the Support System.
- Undertake the development, technical review, and implementation of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) program Contractor / Subcontractor Data Required List (CDRL/SDRL) products in accordance with ASDEFCON.
- Implement BCS product support strategies that address Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to meet customer material and system readiness objectives.
- Work in partnership with the BCS Product Support Project Leads to ensure Mission System Design is aligned with an effective Support System.
- Identify and implement Support System tools to optimise work performance while fulfilling customer requirements.
- Provide delivery of ILS reports such as FMECA, Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis, Facility Requirements Analysis and/or Logistic Support Analysis.
- Mentor and train junior ILS / Product Support team members, ensuring quality checks and process improvements.
To be successful it is essential that you will be able to demonstrate:
- Awareness and preferably 5+ years experience in complex Integrated Logistic Support or Support System environments as this is a Senior role.
- Formal qualifications or significant demonstrated experience in delivering successful logistics / support systems analysis for major ASDEFCON Acquisition programs.
- Eligibility for an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance with Australian Citizenship.
- Be able to work in the Brisbane CBD.
To be successful it is highly desirable that you will be able to demonstrate:
- An ability to provide technical guidance to several technical teams representing multiple skill areas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to engage, influence and negotiate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers.
To be successful it is also desirable that you will be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in the estimating, planning, managing and reporting progress of Integrated Logistics Support work scope.
- Experience working with Integrated Logistics Support standards; for example, MIL-STD-1388, DEF (AUST) 5691/5692, and GEIA-STD-0007C Logistics Product Data.
