Honeywell Aerospace Materials Engineering (MatEng) is seeking Design and applications Eng I. This position will be based at Chihuahua, Mexico facility to support both local manufacturing activities as well as global Aero MatEng activities. This is a challenging, multi-dimensional role that requires the individual to perform at a high level while working multiple concurrent task assignments.
The position will operate within a global MatEng team, working in partnership with experienced materials engineers. The individual will function as a resource to perform daily special process support such: Manufacturing and production support for special process development, specially heat treatment and non-conventional machining, facilitate technical disposition for MRB activities, supplier development and approvals, specification ownership and compliance, working with problems resolution and process improvement projects.
The successful candidate will have the responsibility to ensure special process approvals are complete and the validated before starting production process to meet customer requirements. The individual will interact with both internal and external departments as well as suppliers and other Honeywell sites.
Employee main responsibility will include technical support in quality audit activities and Root Cause and Corrective Actions implementation.
Responsibilities
- Daily support to special process areas.
- The candidate will also participate in and leads projects for process improvement and new processes implementation, delivering results according to schedule and properly documenting projects and validations of new approvals as applicable.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree
- English proficiency
- Experience in mechanical design and development
- Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools
