MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· B.S. Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
· 2 years experience in aircraft related systems industrialization.
· Strong computer skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and MS Project.
· Must have good communication skills, and be open minded to suggestions from others.
· Good knowledge of mechanical tolerances.
· Strong working knowledge of math and geometry and be able to work in both Metric and
English units of measure.
· Must be able to function throughout total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out of
aircraft and stand, kneel or crouch with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Attention to details.
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Aerospace experience.
· Experience in aircraft complex systems development, validation or industrialization.
· Masters degree in an Engineering discipline.
· Good understanding of integrated electrical and mechanical systems.
· Good communication skills.
· Ability to use advanced computer systems with contemporary software applications.
· Ability to lead projects in an international environment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· Both normal office conditions and manufacturing environments.
· Must be able to work long periods (up to 10 hours) at a computer terminal.
· Must be able to function throughout total facility, including up and down stairs and in and out
of aircraft.
· Must be able to stand, kneel or crouch.
· Employee will be subject to normal machining environment to confer with machinist(s) and
must not be allergic to machining dust, particles. Cannot be sensitive to manufacturing noise
(riveting, drilling, machining, aircraft engines running, etc.)
· Work in machining/manufacturing environment wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
as required.
· Travel may be required.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
· Evaluate the Engineering definition for new option or new program and ensure
compliance with the DFJ Industrialization requirements.
· Represent the team during Digital Mock-Up reviews.
· Develop the industrialization material: Manufacturing Enterprise System (MES) plan
(in conjunction with VSM teams), means (bench, tools, software etc…) and
documents (written instructions) to be used by the production.
· Validate the industrialization on the first airplane and make adjustments as needed.
· Provide training to production as a result of the industrial studies conducted.
· Develop and maintain the industrial guidelines for the optional system installation,
configuration and testing in DFJ.
· Propose and develop projects to improve production efficiency and bring cost /
schedule reductions.
· Maintain close relationship with production to listen to their needs and develop
solutions accordingly.
· Support to production and DFJ projects.
· Conduct projects as requested by production.
· Provide support to other projects as requested by DFJ management
