As an Engineering Aide, you will be a key technical member supporting the design, development, test, and manufacture of spacecrafts, missiles, and ground support hardware. In this role you will,

•Review technical documents to identify and resolve discrepancies, perform requirements analysis, and instrument audits

•Generate testing laboratory reports, and schedules to optimize test sample and material handling

•Identify operating supplies needs and develop plans to ensure supplies are ordered, received, and paid

•Performing preliminary analysis of data where guidelines are provided and applying quantitative judgments to develop process optimization

• Support laboratory engineers in the development of test plans, performing testing, evaluating data and reporting test results.

•Perform lab and facilities personnel coordination for effective laboratory operations

• Attending daily and weekly team meetings to discuss technical, schedule and operations issues, etc. Weekly status reporting to programs/management
Basic Qualifications:
- Associates degree in related discipline or equivalent experience, and/or technical training

- Basic understanding of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) principles as well as the ability to interpret, generate, and present technical material and problem solve

- Ability to tackle detailed technical assignments often requiring learning or developing planning and integration skills

- Desire to continually learn, ambition to proactively address challenges, and aspiration to work in a diverse team environment

- Laboratory and/or hardware integration and handling skills

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adjust to a variety of audiences

- Able to work independently within a team and handle multiple priorities and internal customers

- Good presentation skills; must be able to present clearly and concisely on a weekly basis to management and customers

- Microsoft Office skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word

- Proficiency in project planning and product life cycle management

- Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP) for procurement

- Familiarity with process documentation and ISO quality requirements

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $48,500 - $85,675. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as spanet and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
