Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Design vehicle electrical wiring harnesses, including connector, backshell, sleeving, braiding, sealant, and boot selections
- Define harness layouts and multi-branch routing through vehicle architecture
- Apply environmental design standards for temperature, shock, vibration, submersion, and chemical exposure
- Use Capital Harness System (CHS), including Harness XC, Capital Logic, and Capital Topology for design
- Collaborate with CAD teams to route harnesses in 3D CAD tools (Pro-E Creo and/or NX)
- Support release of harness drawings, installation diagrams, and wiring schematics
- Coordinate with systems engineers on pin-level interconnect definitions
- Work with physical architects to plan harness routing channels and space claims
- Perform additional engineering duties as required
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Electrical harness design experience is required
Experience with Capital Harness System (CHS) preferred (Harness XC, Capital Logic, Capital Topology)
Familiarity with Pro-E Creo, NX, or other 3D CAD tools desirable
Ability to prioritize cost, schedule, and technical constraints
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft Visio experience is a plus
Capable of using engineering development and test tools
U.S. Citizenship required to obtain a DoD security clearance (if necessary)
Occasional overtime/weekend work may be required
On-site work and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior work with ground combat vehicles
- Understanding of DoD vehicle electrical systems and harness routing constraints
- Ability to contribute to continuous improvement and lean processes
