Fall 2025 Electrical Engineer Intern

Job Description:

The Electrical Engineer Intern will be a part of the Engineering Technical Support Team which support the operational maintenance of Safrans Cockpit, Navigation, Computer, and Calculator on the commercial aircraft. The Electrical Engineer intern will be working under the supervision of the Lead Electrical Engineer to support the maintenance of these products.

Job Requirements:

Essential Job Functions:

•\tTechnical Review of the updated Maintenance Manual and update all the supporting documents
•\tAssist the Engineer:
o\tDesign of test equipment and tools
o\tCreating schematic drawings in ORCAD
o\tTroubleshooting and maintenance of test equipment
o\tTraining technician on the repair of Safran units
•\tProvide support to technicians such as troubleshooting and technical questions
•\tProvide weekly summary report of projects and tasks
•\tOther duties may be assigned.

Required Competencies

Education/Experience :
•\tCurrently majoring in Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•\tHas basic skills in analytical or scientific method
•\tHas basic knowledge in engineering concepts
•\tAble to read and analyze schematics and circuits
•\tDraw schematics using ORCAD Capture
•\tFamiliar with the operation and use of DMM, Function Generator, Counter, Oscilloscope, AC and DC Power Supplies
•\tFamiliar with LED drive circuitry, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming, and signal conditioning
•\tFamiliar with ARINC standards, and other communication standards like RS232 is a plus
•\tProficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•\tLegally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
•\tThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
