* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or related field from an accredited course of study; or Master’s degree in a related field; or Doctorate of Science degree in a related field.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering classification with a Bachelor’s degree; or typically 3 years of experience in an engineering classification with a Master’s degree; or experience in an engineering classification with a PhD degree.
* Must be a U.S. person for purposes of Export Compliance. Job Duties & Functions
* Conduct system research and analysis to identify potential or investigate reported in-service fleet hazards, risks, and safety concerns, and quantify impact.
* Identify systemic safety and mission assurance root causes and recommend corrective actions using industry best practices.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety, mission success, and airworthiness requirements into designs, operations, and procedures.
* Perform or review tests, analyses, inspections, audits, and simulations to verify systems meet defined safety and mission assurance requirements.
* Create and maintain aerospace safety and mission assurance tools and processes, including documentation of safety analysis, hazard mitigation, and validation and verification activities in compliance with regulatory and customer standards.
* Develop and maintain safety and corrective action plans and assist with demonstrating hazard risk mitigations and control methods to customers and regulators.
* Ensure mission success through execution of Mission Assurance activities throughout the program lifecycle. TeamGlobal Benefits
