We are recruiting for mid-level and senior engineers with a background in Ground Systems Engineering. 

These roles involve providing subject matter expertise in ground system design, architecture development, cloud application integration, and system integration. Key responsibilities include offering technical assessments, recommending mitigation approaches, building relationships with stakeholders, analyzing system architectures, reviewing software development processes, supporting acquisitions, evaluating proposals, updating Statements of Work, coordinating technical meetings, and monitoring software testing. These positions require strong analytical skills, knowledge of programming languages, and experience with cloud computing technologies and service models.

Key Skills include: 

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and energetic environment
• Experience across multiple engineering disciplines to include:  systems engineering, software development, and integration and test

Basic Qualifications:

Sr. Principal Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 8 years of experience; OR a master’s degree and 6 years: OR a PhD and 4 years.  Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
• Experience working with Atlassian tool suite (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience with software integration to include cloud computing environment
• Experience in operational readiness, rehearsals, and system testing
• Experience with NG products, processes, and procedures
• U.S. Citizenship with a current or active Top-Secret clearance at the time of application

Principal Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 5 years of experience; OR a master’s degree and 3 years: OR a PhD and 1 year (outside of internships, research projects, etc.)  Experience can be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience with Agile development
• Experience using the DOORS Requirements Management Database
• Experience working with Atlassian tool suite (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
• Experience with software integration to include cloud computing environment
• Experience in operational readiness, rehearsals, and system testing
• Experience with NG products, processes, and procedures

Primary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
