We are hiring a Systems Engineer in Pittsfield, MA to support the Regional Strike Program focused on advanced defense systems integration, verification & validation (V&V), and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). This role requires experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes, MBSE methodologies, requirements management tools, hardware/software integration, Agile engineering, and AI-assisted engineering workflows supporting mission-critical DoD programs and advanced strike system technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform test & integration engineering, including hardware/software validation, verification, and performance testing
- Develop and manage system requirements, including documentation, traceability, and analysis
- Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for system modeling, simulation, and design trade studies
- Support hardware systems engineering, including design, integration, and troubleshooting of system components
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to ensure system performance and program execution
- Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to enhance requirements analysis, test documentation, and technical reporting
- Conduct design analysis and trade studies to support system development decisions
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM) field
- Active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance required at time of hire
- 5+ years of systems engineering or related experience
- Systems engineering lifecycle (requirements, integration, test)
- Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Jama, Cameo)
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies
- Hardware/software integration and validation
- Design analysis and system-level troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Agile development environments
- AI & Digital Engineering:
- Experience using AI tools for engineering workflows (requirements, testing, reporting)
- Understanding of AI application boundaries, especially with CUI/proprietary data
- Ability to adopt evolving AI-enabled engineering practices
- Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering environment
- Commitment to continuous technical development
