Job Description:

This position supports component-level avionics repair on technically sophisticated military electronic hardware, requiring independent work with minimal oversight to perform complex fault isolation and repair. The role involves laboratory and test operations, application of structural, electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical concepts, and use of specialized test procedures and equipment to achieve high throughput and repair accuracy. The technician defines short-term priorities to meet changing customer requirements and contributes to process improvements while supporting team objectives.

* Job Duration: Contract - 12 months, possible extension.
* Schedule: 1st Shift, 4/10’s, 100% onsite.
* Tools: Required.
* Pay Rate: $31.69 - $37.36/hour Education & Job Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* A minimum of 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Ability to perform complex fault isolation on avionics equipment.
* Aerospace quality soldering skills.
* Ability to use a multimeter, oscilloscope, and other fault isolation equipment.
* Knowledge of electronics and avionics theory.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
* U.S. Citizenship required.
* Active U.S. Secret Security Clearance required. Professional Attributes
* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
* Ability to define and set short-term priorities to meet changing customer requirements.
* Ability to work effectively as a team member. Preferred Skills
* Depot-level F-18 avionics repair knowledge. Job Duties & Functions
* Plan, conduct, and document tests on avionics systems and subsystems.
* Investigate, analyze, and resolve test problems and anomalies.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of test plans, procedures, processes, and methods.
* Plan preventive maintenance and maintain the availability and readiness of test systems.
* Train and guide entry-level personnel in routine test processes and equipment operation.
* Identify and recommend new test equipment, processes, and methods.
* Perform work requiring technical judgment and interpretation of general requirements to accomplish specific test objectives.
* Develop innovative improvements to existing test methods, procedures, processes, and equipment.
* Provide on-the-job training to intermediate personnel and guide the resolution of complex test issues. Physical Requirements & Environment
