We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector for a year-long full-time contract position within the aerospace industry. This role is based in Wichita, Kansas, a global hub for aircraft manufacturing and aerospace innovation.

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring that aerospace components consistently meet rigorous standards for quality and safety. We are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to learn, grow, and advance within the industry. Once you join our team, you will be deployed through SQA’s operations center based on client needs and supplier production schedules, providing dynamic opportunities for professional development.

• Conduct visual, physical, and dimensional inspections of parts, assemblies, and materials at various stages (Finals, Buybacks, Product Verification) to ensure conformance to specifications and drawings.
• Use a variety of precision inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, and various gauges.
• Demonstrate strong visual acuity with the ability to detect defects in complex products.
• Classify defect types and verify rework completed during inspection.
• Verify documentation meets industry and commodity-specific standards.
• Perform 5S activities.
• Assist with customer requests.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience or background in mechanical or aerospace industries.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Weekends are required - every other week.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects in complex products.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be ITAR compliant.
• Ability to read and write in English and communicate verbally.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
• A military background is highly valued but not mandatory.
• Previous experience in industrial or aerospace manufacturing is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in using precision tools is a plus.
