Job Title: Avionics Technician
Job Description
This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and servicing avionics and electrical systems on corporate and privately owned general aviation aircraft, with a strong focus on working independently without constant direct supervision. The role requires completing all necessary checklists, forms, and reports in accordance with company, government, and FAA regulations, and maintaining an understanding of repair facility manuals.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems on general aviation aircraft.
- Install and service avionics equipment with minimal supervision.
- Complete all required documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adhere to and enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of repair facility manuals and procedures.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in avionics installation/upgrade on General Aviation/Corporate aircraft.
- Experience with systems such as pitot/static, EFIS, FMS, GPS, communication and navigation, and WiFi.
- Experience with Cessna Citation and King Air.
- Aircraft wiring and termination experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possession of personal tools for the role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- A&P License is a plus.
- Previous Repairman Certificate is a plus.
- FCC General Radiotelephone License is a plus.
- Knowledge of avionics test equipment such as IFR 6000, IFR 400, and Laversab 6300.
- Experience with Garmin, Collins, and Honeywell systems.
- Autopilot knowledge is beneficial.

Work Environment
Candidates will work in the hanger at PDK, with hours from Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM. This position requires working with tools and equipment relevant to avionics and aircraft systems, in a well-organized and safety-focused environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
