Avionics Technician $26 to $35 an hour Job DescriptionAs an Avionics Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex tasks related to the installation and maintenance of avionics systems. You will operate under limited direction, focusing heavily on installation tasks, while also troubleshooting and repairing avionics and Cabin Management Systems with minimal error. You will work with a variety of aircraft including Gulfstream, Bombardier, LearJet, and Challenger series.
Responsibilities
- Perform removal and installation of avionics components.
- Fabricate wire harnesses for avionics systems.
- Conduct avionics system installations and wire terminations.
- Execute wiring ring-outs and functional tests of avionics systems.
- Troubleshoot complex avionics and Cabin Management Systems.
- Emphasize installation of avionics electrical systems.
- Utilize avionics system testing software for installations and repairs.

Work Environment
You will work on the first shift from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in a well-lit, temperature-controlled facility located at the Signature Flight hangar in Columbus. The team includes about 15 technicians and management personnel, with a dedicated Avionics Department of 4 people. The work environment supports multiple airframes and is exploring military contracts, offering a primary business focus split between avionics and maintenance.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr.
