This position requires a strong knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. The job includes varying amounts of parts replacement or repair, system installation, and system troubleshooting. Job duties will vary each day and will be designated by the General Manager or Lead in charge of the project.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This shall include, but not be limited to items such as:
- Removal and installation of panels, components, and interiors, as well as repair work on avionics installations.
- Troubleshoots, repairs, tests, removes and replaces avionics and instrument wiring and systems installed in various airframes using hand tools, test equipment, technical documents, and technical reference materials.
- Orders necessary parts to complete the job.
- Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
- Enters description of work completed on the work order and properly documents removal and installation of aircraft parts and components according to approved data and company-approved procedures.
- Accompanies flight crews to perform in-flight troubleshooting and adjustments and performs preflight evaluations of avionics and instrument systems.
- Advise department management of any issues, delays, and/or schedule interruptions.
- Aircraft movement and assistance in hangar stack when required.
- Work either independently or within a team on projects as dictated by the scope of the project and management.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
