Technology Support Specialist I

Job Description:

DPP is seeking a Technology Support Specialist for an opportunity in Columbia, SC.

Work arrangement:

Fully onsite
W2 position; 12 months
Candidates must be eligible to earn a Public Trust US security clearance.

Position summary:

Actively resolve the day-to-day technical needs of customers by managing problems and solutions.
Receive and respond to customers for technical support or services. Enter requests utilizing appropriate tools and processes. Thoroughly document communication with customers and complete requests or issues of basic complexity.
Identify actual or potential problems and escalate problems to appropriate higher-level professionals when necessary.
Complete administrative and other area related tasks such as reviewing or completing forms, disseminating documents to appropriate areas, reviewing and/or providing input into procedures, etc.
Schedule could range anywhere from 6:30am to 8:00pm.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Proficient computer skills
Ability to maneuver through commonly used applications and systems used in the industry

Nice to have:

Understands the industry&39;s business systems and processes.

Preferred minimum work experience:

1 year of technical call center experience is highly preferred.

Education:

Associate degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
OR, 2 years of related work experience.

Work environment:

Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer within a technical help desk support center.
