- Handle Cargo reservations and provide Customer Services to all Cargo Agents and direct customers. Handle all relevant cargo bookings via telephone, emails, and online portals.
- Check incoming emails and respond or refer to the relevant personnel to ensure an efficient customer service is provided.
- Answer the telephone and deal with customer enquiries and ensure reservations are entered into the EK system correctly. Responsibilities cover all aspects of customer service, e.g. including the provision of POD statements, shipment status, etc.
- Co-ordinate all transport requirements for EK cargo bookings on a daily basis.
- If and as required, support the special cargo team with handling and coordinating inquiries and bookings pertaining to special cargo, such as Dangerous goods, Temperature Control/Healthcare goods, live animals and other related special cargo shipments.
- Ensure that respective ‘ok to forward’ authorizations are obtained from EK destinations as and if required.
- Ensure and take responsibility for adequate flight capacity utilization in conjunction and proper flight revenues in close collaboration with the EK cargo operational departments
- Ensure all post-flight details are relayed to the customer promptly.
- Ensure all the end-of-month filing of flight files, tracking messages are kept up-to-date.
- Ensure permanent bookings are entered into the system and monitored on a regular basis to guarantee their usage.
- Carry out tasks as directed by line supervisor.
QualificationQualifications/Experience
- Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent
- Good knowledge of Cargo Reservations and Cargo Operations.
- Must have a high level of Attention to detail
- PC based skills incl. MS Word/Excel/Outlook and preferably automated cargo reservations system
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in German and English are essential.
