Summary
The Oracle Applications Database Administrator (Apps DBA) at Wyman will support multiple Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) instances and other application systems for U.S. manufacturing plants. This role ensures operational efficiency and reliability in our manufacturing processes through performance tuning, capacity planning, backups, and critical event monitoring. The ideal candidate will have strong Oracle database administration skills, a solid understanding of Oracle EBS Applications, and excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with application developers across various modules and custom Oracle systems.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Administer Oracle EBS (11i and R12) and databases (11g and 12c).
• Conduct routine administration and performance monitoring.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams.
• Deploy code and setup changes to production.
• Refresh non-production environments from production.
• Perform database backups/restores with RMAN and collaborate on disaster recovery.
• Monitor system resources, identify trends, and mitigate issues.
• Utilize Linux scripting, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and Toad.
• Administer Oracle APEX.
• Support Oracle databases, forms, and reports in Windows environments.
• Maintain documentation for standard operating procedures.
• Provide support outside of office hours as needed (on-call rotation)
Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor&39;s degree in computer science or related field preferred; or equivalent experience/Oracle DBA certification.
• 5+ years as an Oracle Apps DBA with EBS (11i, R12.2) and databases (11g, 12c).
• Knowledge of Red Hat Linux for Oracle Database and EBS administration.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Windows server administration (a plus).
• Proficiency in Oracle Application Server Administration and WebLogic (stand-alone Oracle Forms and Reports a plus).
• Experience with Apache and Tomcat (a plus).
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships and present information effectively.
• Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley and IT audit processes (a plus).
U.S. citizenship required.
