JOB DESCRIPTION: Aircraft Maintenance Planning Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION: Non-Exempt

REPORT TO: Manager of Maintenance

The Aircraft Maintenance Planning Analyst will ensure that planned maintenance activities do not disrupt flight schedules or affect safety. They create work orders for all scheduled aircraft, engine, propeller, and appliance maintenance events. They will coordinate with stockroom personnel and maintenance supervisors to ensure parts are in inventory and available for these events. They will help the organization move from reactive maintenance to proactive maintenance. This is an office position (non-remote). The incumbent will be required to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance to Addison, TX. Training will be provided for the right candidate.

Key Duties

  • Preventive maintenance: Creates, issues, updates, and manages work orders created for scheduled aircraft, engine, propeller or appliance maintenance.
  • Equipment inspections: Participate in planning meetings both for short term and long-term planning for aircraft inspections.
  • Ordering parts and supplies: Ordering parts and supplies in advance.
  • Repair and replacement scheduling: Scheduling repairs and replacements.
  • Inventory monitoring: Monitoring inventory levels for spare parts and tools.
  • Vendor coordination: Coordinating with outside vendors for specialized services.
  • Quality initiatives: Participating in CASS meetings and quality initiatives as assigned by the DOM.
  • Risk identification: Identifying risks, containing them, and putting countermeasures in place.
  • Efficiency improvement: Seeking ways to improve work efficiency and identify areas for savings.
  • Cost minimization: Minimizing costs by improving efficiency and eliminating waste.
  • Analytical support: Providing analytical support and continuous improvement initiatives to relevant managers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Records and Maintenance Planning and/or the DOM

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior Maintenance Planning experience in airline industry.
  • 1 year maintenance planning required.

Preferred

  • 5 years or more maintenance planning.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree.

Physical requirements:

  • General office duties.

Miscellaneous Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
  • Computer, office equipment, phone skills.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
  • Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
  • Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by company and/or airline regulations.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
  • Available for occasional overnight travel
