We are seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented ERP Data Analyst to become the key resource for business intelligence and reporting across the organization. This role focuses on extracting, analyzing, and presenting data to meet the analytical needs of all departments, primarily from the Epicor ERP system and supplementary Data Lake repositories. The ideal candidate will blend deep technical expertise in Epicors database and reporting tools with the interpersonal skills to train users and document solutions, all under the direct guidance of the ERP Systems Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, customize, and maintain reports, dashboards, and visual analytics using SSRS, Power BI/Tableau, and Epicor tools (BAQs, Dashboards).
- Serve as the subject matter expert for data extraction and structure within the Epicor Kinetic database and connected data repositories.
- Collaborate with departments to understand their analytical requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
- Design and provide training to end-users on new reports, dashboards, and data tools to foster self-service analytics.
- Create and maintain clear documentation for all developed reports, dashboards, and analytical processes.
- Support and extend system capabilities through the development of BAQs, BPMs, Data Directives, and other Epicor components as needed.
- Communicate project status, findings, and insights effectively to both end-users and management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Report Writer, or similar role with a focus on ERP data.
- Must have expert-level knowledge of the Epicor Kinetic/ERP (V10) database structure, tables, and fields.
- Must have hands-on experience developing and customizing reports with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Must have demonstrated experience building dashboards and visualizations with Power BI or Tableau.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and insightful reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven aptitude for training end-users and creating user-friendly documentation.
- Ability to work both independently on analytical projects and collaboratively under management guidance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a manufacturing or operations environment, understanding how processes impact data.
- Familiarity with other Epicor customization tools (BPMs, Data Directives, Embedded Logic).
- Basic programming knowledge (e.g., C) for extending Epicor functionality.
- Experience with ancillary systems like BarTender labeling software.
- Understanding data integration concepts with Data Lakes or other repositories.
